This document was produced in response to the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) dialogue initiative to develop a strategy for First Nations early childhood development. AFN contracted with BCACCS to facilitate a dialogue process with key BC First Nations early childhood development stakeholders on its behalf. Due to the short time frame, BCACCS prepared a set of discussion paper built upon the BC Aboriginal ECD Roundtable and Aboriginal ECD Leadership Forum reports rather than engaging in extensive consultation. The discussion paper was submitted via email to key First Nations ECD stakeholders for review and comment and feedback was incorporated into the final report.
