“The primary purpose of Planning for the Seasons is to provide a resource that reflects Aboriginal understandings of planning. The resource is developed from an Aboriginal foundation of the values, principles and processes stemming from traditional ways of supporting children and families through various cultural activities and traditions combined with western concepts of planning. Planning for the Seasons is a practical resource that is intended to be used in training sessions and workshops on how to create strategic plans for Aboriginal early childhood development.

This resource:

- explains some of the reasons why we need ECD plans for children and families;
